Throughout 2021 it was a huge joy to witness the world opening back up and live events welcoming audiences back into venues across the UK. It was an exciting time to see many festivals that had been postponed throughout 2020 reopen their gates and allow artists to perform to music-hungry fans once again.
One event that really came back with a bang was Reading & Leeds Festivals, pushing the boundaries even further for the 2021 events by doubling the number of main stages. Creative Technology are extremely proud to have supported the festivals in this way, bringing Festival Republic’s vision to life for a comeback like no other.
Judges commented, “The winner of this category stood out for the scale, size and quality of product supplied. It was great to see progress on previous shows despite the pandemic.”

“Coming out of a dormant period for the music industry this summer had many challenges, one of which was the screen requirement for Reading and Leeds main stages. Having added a second main stage to each site, we doubled the amount of screen required across the same weekend. In previous years, we had worked meticulously to get one stage at each site planned, and this year double the amount of screen, with less planning time and facing the limitations imposed on us post -pandemic, (namely crew shortages), was a tall order, but one that was delivered with relative ease, as if we’d never been away!
