The 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship brings together 16 national teams for two weeks of top-level competition. Stockholm plays a central role in hosting the tournament. From the arena to the fan zone, the championship offers more than just ice hockey.

Powering the championship experience

As Official Partner of the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Creative Technology Sweden was responsible for the technical delivery at several key locations in Stockholm. Technology weaves through every aspect of the experience: on the ice, in the fan zones, and throughout the hospitality areas. From lighting and audio to video solutions, each element helped shape the atmosphere.

Avicii Arena

The Avicii Arena is the beating heart of the tournament. This is where the biggest matches take place, with thousands of fans from all over the world.

We provided the technical systems that enhanced the atmosphere. We delivered projection mapping on the ice, showcasing dynamic visuals for team introductions, show moments, and branding. The lighting design, including automated lights, strobes, and followspots was synchronized with the projections, music and the visuals to enhance the atmosphere in the stadium. Thanks to the LED displays, spectators across the arena could follow the highlights and replays without missing a moment.

Our job is to elevate the in-arena experience even before the first puck hits the ice.

Large fanzones with game live feeds and music

Official Fan Zone

The largest Official Fan Zone in Swedish IIHF World Championship history: 12.000 m² of hockey celebration. Where fans gather before, during and after games to enjoy public viewing, listen to live bands and connect.

We provided the full technical production for the Official Fan Zone. This includes the stage structure, all the lightning, PA systems, LED screens for live feed and a full live registration setup with three cameras and a control room. Additionally, we supported the AV installations in the food courts, maintaining a consistent experience throughout the site.

CT, the technique, and all the assistance from people and professionals, and the way they show us how to do it, we wouldn’t be able to do what we actually have done.
