Creative Technology Åre was commissioned to deliver audio systems and an 81 sqm mobile LED screen at the competitions, so that participants, coaches and the audience could follow SVT’s live broadcast, as well as take part in the arena program with interviews, advertising and competition information. CT’s team also managed the playout and created parts of the content displayed at awards ceremonies and other activities.
For the opening, a team of 6 technicians, 4 stage hands and a project manager worked to ensure all technology, including audio, light and the mobile LED screen.
“When choosing a supplier for the combination of audio, light and video, Creative Technology is an obvious choice for me. A professional relationship since 2017 makes the collaboration smooth as we know where we have each other; they hear me as a customer, see our needs and deliver above expectations. There is never any doubt that Creative Technology shares the vision of creating the best delivery, says Bea Olsson, Parasport WC coordinator & Ceremony Manager.
The technical team worked mostly outdoors to set up and deploy the technology.
“During setup we had -18 degrees and snowfall. But at the inauguration it was only -10 and windless, really nice. We are used to working outdoors with larger events in winter time. We have done many alpine events such as the World Cup, World Championships and more. It’s usually under fairly tough weather conditions, but that’s what we’re good at, says Mikael Gahm, project manager at Creative Technology.
