On July 2, 2024 – Creative Technology signed a collaboration agreement with Marina Port Vell Barcelona to become its official Audiovisual Services provider during the months of the 37th America’s Cup, which is taking place in Barcelona, between August 22 and October 27, 2024.
During the event, the marina, designated as the Preferred Superyacht Marina for the 37th America’s Cup, hosts more than 150 large yachts that are visiting Barcelona for the regatta, as well as numerous events that will be held in the different areas of the marina.
For all customers and visitors, Marina Port Vell Barcelona has developed a wide range of exclusive services. In this sense, and with the aim of offering the best possible experience, the marina reached an agreement with Creative Technology, which allows it, on the one hand, to offer companies holding events, the best audiovisual services, and on the other, to provide all visitors the possibility of following the regattas live with state-of-the-art screens that are distributed around the docks and in two privileged spaces: in The Sea Garden restaurant and on the Barceloneta dock, where there is a large screen to view the competition in the open air.
It is important to note that the base of the British team INEOS Britannia is located in the same Marina Port Vell, so that all guests at the venue can enjoy how they embark and disembark their brand new and spectacular yacht AC75 as well as being able to cheer their crew at the start and finish, before and after competing. After 60 years, a British team returns to the America’s Cup final. INEOS Britannia, led by Ben Ainslie, has achieved a historic feat by winning the Louis Vuitton Cup after defeating the Italian team Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli in a hard-fought 7-4 series.
With this victory, the British team secures a place in the 37th America’s Cup Final, where they will compete against defending champions Emirates Team New Zealand.
