Immersive Experience FAQs
How do I create an immersive experience for an event or venue?
The starting point is understanding what you want people to experience, the space available and whether the project will be temporary or permanent. From there, the creative and technical approach can be developed around the idea.
Creative Technology can get involved from the early stages, helping establish what is technically achievable and how projection, LED, sound, lighting, interactivity and content could work within the space. We can then support the project through technical planning, testing, installation and operation or commissioning.
Can Creative Technology help if we only have an initial idea?
Yes. You do not need to arrive with a finished technical brief. Many immersive projects begin with an idea for how a space should feel, what an audience should experience or how a brand, story or piece of content should come to life within a physical environment.
Our creative and technical teams can help explore the possibilities, identify the right approach and work out what is needed to make it happen.
Do you work with event, creative and experiential agencies?
Yes. We regularly work alongside event, creative and experiential agencies, producers, architects, designers and content studios as part of a wider project team.
CT can support the technical and production elements of an existing creative concept, bring our Creative Services team into the process where required, or take on a broader role when a client needs both creative and technical support.
Who creates immersive experiences in Ireland?
Creative Technology works on immersive experiences across Ireland, from live events, brand activations and exhibitions to interactive installations, cultural spaces and permanent visitor environments.
Our teams bring together creative content, AV technology and technical production, either working directly with the end client or alongside their appointed agency and project partners.
Can you create an immersive experience in an existing venue or building?
Yes. Immersive technology can be introduced into existing event venues, museums, heritage buildings, galleries, visitor attractions and other spaces.
The building itself often shapes the approach, with factors such as architecture, ambient light, acoustics, audience movement, access and existing infrastructure considered as part of the technical planning.
Can Creative Technology create the content for an immersive experience?
Yes. Creative Technology Ireland has an in-house Creative Services team working across video production, animation, motion graphics and digital content, including content developed for unusual screen formats, projection-mapped surfaces and immersive environments.
Our creative team can work directly alongside the technical specialists on the project, or collaborate with an existing agency, designer or content studio.
Can an immersive experience be interactive?
Yes. Cameras, sensors, tracking and touch technology can allow an environment to respond to the people within it. Visitors might trigger content, influence what happens around them or experience different visuals and sound as they move through the space.
The level of interaction can range from simple triggers to more complex real-time environments, depending on the experience.
Can immersive experiences be temporary as well as permanent?
Yes. An immersive experience might be created for a single event, brand activation, exhibition or tour, or become a permanent part of a museum, visitor attraction, cultural venue or branded environment.
The planning changes depending on how long the experience needs to operate, from the installation and live production requirements of a temporary project to the reliability, day-to-day operation and long-term support needed for a permanent one.
