Armagh Georgian Day 2024

Set against the historic Town Hall, this immersive, Christmas-themed event captivated audiences and became the centrepiece of the festival. Our mission was to provide an end-to-end service that combined vibrant creative content with state-of-the-art technology. The result was a seamless blend of storytelling, cutting-edge projection, and immersive sound and lighting.

From concept to completion, our Creative Services and Live Events teams worked together to manage every stage of the project. By collaborating closely with our client, we ensured the show reflected festive themes while delivering a polished, professional experience.

Creative Content Development.

The centre of this project was a meticulously crafted story, brought to life through visuals and sound. Our Creative Services team was responsible for:

• The Storyline Development of a charming, family-friendly narrative that combined Armagh’s Georgian heritage with the festive spirit. The storyline was designed to engage with audiences of all ages, particularly children, ensuring a broad appeal.
• The team also designed of a set of vibrant, memorable characters that added depth and personality to the show, engaging audiences throughout,
• Detailed, custom designed motion graphics and animations that interacted seamlessly with the Town Hall’s architecture, turning its walls into a dynamic canvas.
• A bespoke audio track, synchronised with the visuals and lighting, creating a fully immersive experience.

Projection Technology

The transformation of the Town Hall relied on our advanced projection technology, chosen for its ability to deliver stunning visuals with precision and reliability:

•  Christie Boxer 4K30 Projectors, each delivering 4K resolution and 30,000 lumens of brightness, ensuring the visuals were vivid and lifelike, even in challenging conditions.
• Redundant System Configuration, guaranteeing uninterrupted performance throughout the event.

This setup allowed us to bring the narrative to life with breathtaking clarity and colour, seamlessly integrating modern design with historical themes.

Media Playback

To handle the show’s complex technical requirements, we deployed our custom-built G2 media servers, powered by Pixera. These cutting-edge servers were the backbone of the event, offering:

• Flawless Playback, ensuring smooth delivery of intricate animations and transitions.
• Synchronisation of visuals, audio, and lighting for an immersive audience experience.
• Operating with a main and backup system to ensure reliability and peace of mind.

Lighting Design

Lighting was another critical component in creating the show’s festive and immersive atmosphere. Our lighting design included:

• Aqua Beam Spot Moving Lights and SGM LED Wash Lights enhancing the projection visuals with complementary lighting effects.
• GrandMA3 Lighting Desk enabling precise control of all lighting elements for smooth integration with the projection content.
• Dynamic Interplay of Light and Shadow, highlighting the architectural features of the Town Hall and adding depth to the visual storytelling.
