Creative Technology Ireland is delighted to have supported The RDS, delivering the Audio-Visual production for the 2024 ESB Science Blast exhibitions in Dublin and Limerick.

ESB Science Blast is a free, non-competitive educational program for primary schools that engages 3rd-6th class students in exploring the science behind a simple question, promoting learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM).

By investigating intriguing questions and presenting their findings to experienced STEM judges, the children develop essential skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity.

Client Requirements.

The RDS needed an Audio-Visual that was partner capable of delivering a set of seamless, high-quality technical productions across two venues in Dublin and Limerick, using the latest cutting-edge Audio-Visual technology. The goal was to ensure a stress-free experience with consistent performance quality across each location.

With over a decade of experience as the trusted Audio-Visual supplier for the RDS, and extensive knowledge of the set-up requirements within the University of Limerick, our Live Events team brought an unmatched level of expertise in delivering successful events and large-scale exhibitions.

The Result.

ESB Science Blast launched its first exhibition on March 4th at the RDS Simmonscourt venue. Just over 12,000 primary school students from Dublin and surrounding areas attended over the four days, presenting their findings and enjoying live large scale science shows. The event then moved to the University of Limerick for 3 days from 21^st – 23^rd May welcoming another 3,000 students.

Throughout each of the events, our project managers provided ongoing support and advice, while our skilled AV technicians deployed and managed a range of industry-standard audio and video projection technologies. Utilising our 21k Panasonic projectors with their built-in colour matching and edge blending, alongside our powerful NEXO PA systems with their crystal-clear audio coverage, we ensured each exhibition was a success.
