MetroLink | Market Engagement

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), in partnership with the National Transport Authority (NTA), hosted the flagship MetroLink Market Engagement Event at the Helix, Dublin.

The event, officially launched by An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, and Tánaiste, Simon Harris, brought together more than 600 stakeholders from across Ireland and internationally.

As the first major step in presenting Ireland’s MetroLink programme to the market, the briefing needed to go beyond a traditional conference format. The organisers wanted an environment that reflected the ambition of the project and set the right tone for an initiative of such national importance.

Our Support

Creative Technology delivered the full technical production for the briefing. Working closely with Freelance show producer Hazel Nestor and the organisers, our team designed and delivered a set-up that combined technical precision with creative impact, using the Helix to its full potential for an event of MetroLink’s scale.

LED Design

At the centre of the production was an LED design that took the event far beyond a standard conference format. A 12 x 7m screen formed the main stage backdrop, providing a canvas for presentations and video content. Vertical LED pillars framed the stage, while LED ribbons, running along the  Helix balconies extended the visuals into the architecture of the room, creating a fully immersive environment.

Unlike a conventional single-screen set-up, this layered approach drew the audience into the content from every angle, ensuring clear sightlines and engagement from all attendees. The scale, complexity, and integration of the displays matched the ambition of MetroLink, something only a production of this level could deliver.

For stakeholders, it provided a more memorable and impactful briefing, reinforcing the significance of the project at every turn.

Audio

Alongside the visuals, audio played a crucial role in shaping the audience experience. A digital wireless system paired with discreet DPA headsets and a carefully tuned loudspeaker set-up ensured speech was clear, natural and consistent across the auditorium. Presenters had the freedom to move and deliver with ease, while the audience could focus fully on the content without distraction.

Behind the scenes, Riedel comms kept the production team connected at every moment, ensuring the event ran cohesively from the first address to the final close.

This project is a great example of how the right technical setup, combined with a team that understands demands of a live event, can create a standout experience for audiences.
