With TUD in need of a brand-new Cybersecurity operations control training centre in their Blanchardstown campus, Creative Technology Ireland were contracted for the design, supply, installation and management of a brand new interactive visualisation system in support of the Training Security Operations Centre.

The Project
Solutions Provided
LCD Video Wall: The team installed the Barco UniSee 500 55” bezel-less display panels in a 3×3 Video Wall configuration, mounted using the UniSee mounting solution. The Barco Unisee was chosen as it provides extremely reliable imaging and an unmatched level of uniformity, creating visual experience that has never been seen before in LCD video walls.
The screen includes Sense X, an automatic, continuous colour and brightness calibration system which ensures the enitre wall has a perfectly balanced image. The Panels also have a bezel-less design which make the inner tile gap almost un-noticeable. The tiles also support SD, HD and 4k resolutions
Audio Systems: The Biamp PA240P 240W amplifier at 100V & Biamp COLS81 Two-way 8 x 2-inch Column Loudspeaker was chosen to support and supply source audio due to its high reliability and provides an excellent sound experience in any acoustical conditions. A Logitech H650E USB headset was also supplied for tutor use.
Remote system access for users & maintenance: The Barco Transform N system was chosen as it allows both our team and users to easily access, manage and configure video, images and data either locally or remotely. This also allows our managed services team to be proactive and resolve any possible issues before they cause problems for the end users.
Computer Stations: 12 Individual Dell PC’s were installed along with twin monitors at each desk, allowing for an optimal learning experience. They include display port connections and mini display port cards as there is no HDMI connection available.
Warranty provided:
We provided a 3 year warranty on all Barco components within our essential care package and a 3-year warranty on all other components provided.
We have also provided a half day of training from a Barco UniSee Specialist for TU Dublin staff, additional resources are available online on our customer portal and if required we can provide additional onsite training at our preventative maintenance visits or scheduled sessions.
We also provided TUD with our 3 option breakdown & repair response schedule:
- Standard- remote & phone support from 9-17:30 and response times within 4-6 hours, onsite visits are carried out within the next working day (cover is monday-friday)
- Extended- remote & phone support from 8:00-22:00 and response times within 4 hours, onsite visits are carried out within the next working day (cover is monday-saturday)
- Premium- 24hr remote & phone support and response times within 2-4hours, onsite visits are carried out within the next working day (cover is monday-sunday)
