Áras Geal, meaning Building of Light, is a 4,067m², purpose-built space within TU Dublin’s Blanchardstown Campus, designed to enhance the student experience and support the university’s growth.
With 20 classrooms, 7 conference rooms, and 3 meeting rooms, the facility offers a flexible, modern environment for learning, teaching, and collaboration. Attending the launch on behalf of Creative Technology was Managing Director Tony Lanigan, Senior Systems Engineer Simon Lang, and Project Manager Donal O’Meara.
As the chosen AV integrator for the project, Creative Technology delivered a complete AV integration across all areas of the building. This included user-friendly conferencing systems for the meeting and conference rooms, sound, control, and display systems throughout the each of the classrooms, and the addition of the new Sennheiser app which allows students and audiences to engage directly by submitting questions via their phones, making the spaces more interactive and accessible.
The launch was hosted by Minister for Further and Higher Education Patrick O’Donovan, TU Dublin President Dr. Deirdre Lillis, and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer Mark Henry, who all spoke about the significance of the project for the university and its students.
Congratulations to TU Dublin on a fantastic launch and thanks to everyone involved in delivering this project.
