This collaboration between SPAA and CT has become an annual fixture. For the third year in a row, CTME hosted six third-year production students from the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) on 27 and 28 April 2026 for an intensive LED masterclass at the company’s state-of-the-art facility.
The two-day program, held at The Cube, was designed to bridge the gap between academic study and the realities of professional production. Led by CTME’s experienced video engineering team, the curriculum moved students through a full arc of live production technology, from a health & safety induction to rigging and physical product assembly on Day 1 to advanced video integration and system workflow on Day 2.
Day one centered on hands-on product exposure, with students working across three professional-grade LED systems: the InfiLED 5.9, the ROE BP 2.8, and the InfiLED ART 4.6. Split into teams, the group rotated through assembly, rigging, and configuration exercises. On the other hand, day two elevated the technical stakes, introducing students to stage design principles, LED mapping using Brompton and BrightLogic processing, and full media playback via d3, culminating in an integrated workflow session that tied all elements together.
Tom Stocks, Head of Technical, took time to address and engage directly with the students throughout the visit.

The initiative drew immediate and warm feedback from the SPAA cohort. Creative Technology is looking forward to expanding this initiative further in 2027, with Sharjah Performing Arts Academy faculty already in discussion about a return visit for the next cohort of year 3 technical majors.
