Creative Technology Transforms Boxing into Immersive Spectacle for Sela's Canelo vs Scull Fight in Saudi Arabia

Creative Technology delivered a show-stopping production for Sela during one of Saudi Arabia’s most anticipated sporting events: the bout where Canelo Alvarez reclaimed his status as the undisputed super middleweight champion by defeating William Scull. Held at Riyadh’s ANB Arena, the event broke from tradition. Rather than a standard boxing setup, Creative Technology transformed the venue into a fully immersive digital colosseum, blending cutting-edge visuals to create a next-generation live experience. The result was more than just a fight. It was a spectacle that captivated a packed arena and millions of viewers around the world, pushing the boundaries of sports entertainment and underscoring Saudi Arabia’s growing position on the global stage for major live events.

The technical specs revealed the staggering complexity. Creative Technology deployed more than 1750 LED panels across multiple configurations, creating over 400 square meters of high-resolution displays. The centerpiece featured two massive 66-meter-long auditorium screens that wrapped around the venue, each spanning 198 square meters and made from around 800 InfiLED ER5 panels. The LED floor installation featured 275 ROE Black Marble tiles, transforming the boxing ring into a digital canvas. The main auditorium screens alone required 11,088 pixels width by 504 pixels height of synchronized content, demanding unprecedented bandwidth and processing power. Three Disguise VX4 media servers synchronized nearly 1,800 individual display elements, processing over 50,000 pixels worth of content. The setup included a robust Netgear M4300 12X12F Network Core system, ensuring zero latency between all components.

On the lighting front, CT integrated 1000+ individual lighting fixtures from Ayrton, Robe, and Elation. This included 210 Elation PULSE PANEL FX units, 150 Ayrton Argo 6 FX lights, and 180+ specialized Robe fixtures spanning their iFORTE, FORTE, and LEDBeam series. The lighting arsenal was controlled by seven GrandMA3 consoles.
