CT Provides Audio Visual Solutions for The World-Renowned Corporate Event!

The World Green Economy Summit (WGES) is a leading global forum focusing on the Green Economy. Attended and presented by world-class experts in critical sectors globally, it aims to advance the global green economy and promote the sustainability agenda.
The two-day WGES Summit took place at the Dubai World Trade Center and saw multiple government officials from around the world attend.

CT designed and provided audio, lighting, rigging and video solutions for the main plenary, breakout rooms and welcome area on behalf of our client.

Welcome Area
Designed as a relaxing networking space, the welcome area provided delegates and attendees with an informal but well planned space to discuss the presented topics while enjoying snacks and beverages.

CT’s audio visual solutions included over 150 lighting fixtures all controlled via a GrandMA console to highlight various flown custom scenic structures and the multiple points of interest in the networking area such as the Ghaf trees which is the national tree of the UAE, glass displays and lounge furniture. Discreet background audio added to the overall ambience and was achieved with a D&B solution run and controlled from a Yamaha console.

Main Plenary
Arguably the main attraction of the event was the main plenary which hosted multiple keynote speakers, panel discussions and presentations throughout the two-day event.

The backdrop to the main plenary was a 76m curved projection surface, designed to grab attendee’s attention and immerse them in the content and discussions. In order to achieve this, CT provided 16 x 21K projectors with full redundancy to provide a seamless blend across the surface. Content was run through Disguise VX4 media servers configured as a main and understudy to provide a 4k output. Screen control was handled through a Barco E2 4K output from the Disguise servers and controlled with the Barco EC200 controller.
CT also provided the presentation equipment to run PowerPoint and keynote with full redundancy and the teleprompter equipment for the main guest Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations.

78 various light fixtures were strategically placed around the room to add to the excitement of the opening ceremony, flow with the content animation and enhance the overall experience. All lighting fixtures were controlled from a central GrandMA 2 console. With multiple speakers and panel discussions taking place, there were a lot of stage movements throughout the two days. A key factor for CT was ensuring the audio remained clear throughout each change.

CT supplied a D&B PA system compromising of Q1, T10 and QSubs to make up the main hangs, front fills and delays. The main plenary audio was all controlled via a Midas Pro 2 console. 10 x Gooseneck mics were provided for the lectern and panel discussion tables and wireless mic systems for presenters. CT also supplied a full wired and wireless GreenGo intercom system.

Breakout Room
This was a separate area where intimate presentations took place. This space was allocated to allow for a more interactive conference between the speaker and the audience. CT provided 1x 30m curved high resolution LED screen which was designed to replicate the large curved projection screen in the main plenary. All content was running from our Watchout 4k playback system. 52 various lighting fixtures were positioned around the room to add to the atmosphere of the event and content. 4 x EM acoustic EMS122 speakers and 2 x EM acoustic subs were controlled from a Yamaha QL1 Mixer and 8 x Gooseneck mics were provided for the lectern and panel discussions, including wireless mics for the presenters.
