Abu Dhabi, UAE – September 2025 – While audiences at Etihad Arena were spellbound by the adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, Creative Technology orchestrated a seamless technical delivery. Partnering with Proactiv Entertainment, CTME brought to life two unforgettable nights where cinema and symphony merged, transforming concert attendees at Yas Island into a world of wizardry and wonder.
The audio team deployed 16-deep d&b XSL arrays per side for mains, supported by SL-SUBs in a ground sub array configuration. Y10P cabinets provided front fill coverage, with AL90 used for outfill. Mixing was managed on a DiGiCo Quantum 338 PULSE, with SD-Racks running on an Optocore loop. A Luminex GigaCore 10 network switch carried Dante distribution and control throughout the system. The rig was designed and prepped for true plug-and-play deployment, ensuring consistent clarity, transparency, power, and coherence across the venue.
On the visual front, two Panasonic PT-RZ31K projectors powered the towering 40-foot screen, delivering crystal-clear images that allowed audiences to rediscover Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone™ and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets™ like never before. The projection system was supported by a dedicated Netgear M4300 network core rack, ensuring flawless video delivery.
On the lighting side, CTME’s team designed a Hogwarts-worthy atmosphere. Using an impressive array of over 50 moving head lights, including Ayrton Rivale Wash, Diablo S Profiles, Levante S Wash fixtures, Cameo Zenit W600 units, and Astera AX5 TriplePar lights, all controlled via GrandMA3 NPU-L and Light Size consoles, perfectly balancing the cinematic visuals with the live orchestral presence without overtaking the attention from the film screening.
Backstage, CTME’s comprehensive communications system featuring 15 Riedel Bolero wireless beltpacks with antennas and 10 Motorola R7 UHF radios kept every department in perfect sync, from projection to sound to lighting. The meticulous coordination extended to dedicated rehearsal spaces equipped with d&b M6 monitors and D20 amplifiers, ensuring performers experienced the same audio precision as the live audience.
