MWC25 Doha: Creative Technology Orchestrates the Technical Backbone of the Region’s First-Ever MWC

When the GSMA brought Mobile World Congress to the Middle East for the very first time, Doha was set to host a watershed moment for the region — not just a conference, but a declaration of ambition: Qatar stepping confidently onto the world stage as a hub for next-generation connectivity, intelligence, and digital innovation.

Held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, MWC25 Doha aligned closely with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the nation’s Digital Agenda. With themes spanning AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries, the event became one of the most significant digital-innovation gatherings ever staged in the region. As GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath noted, “MWC Doha represents a major moment for MENA and the global connectivity community.” Qatar’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, reinforced this, describing the inaugural edition as “a reaffirmation of the region’s rising prominence in the global telecommunications landscape.”

For Creative Technology Middle East (CTME), the brief from Stagestruck was straightforward: deliver an event that meets, and exceeds, MWC’s high technical and broadcast standards.

CTME produced a fully integrated technical environment combining balanced audio, considered lighting design, high-resolution LED displays, reliable multi-camera workflows, and a resilient network infrastructure to support speakers, delegates, and global audiences. The team delivered a main stage featuring a 480-panel LED configuration and three fully equipped breakout stages, each engineered with a consistent visual and technical identity but tailored for content-driven panel discussions.

Video Infrastructure Across All Stages

CTME deployed a cohesive, broadcast-ready video system built around high-resolution LED displays and professional camera workflows.

The Main Stage featured a 90sqm, 18m × 5m Absen PL2.5 Lite LED wall, flanked by two 3m × 5m wings, creating a 120sqm panoramic canvas for keynotes and live sessions.
Breakout stages matched this visual standard with identical 7m × 3m Absen PL2.5 Lite displays — each constructed from 84 panels at 2800 × 1200px, ensuring uniform branding and image quality throughout the venue.

Lighting Designed for Camera and Consistency

CTME delivered lighting systems prioritizing clarity, depth, and camera performance across all stages.

The Main Stage featured a refined rig including Ayrton Levante S Wash, Karif LT Beam, Rivale Profile, and Diablo S Profile fixtures, supported by Robe LEDBeam 350 units and an extensive array of Astera Titan Tubes, all controlled by a GrandMA3 Light console for precise color and keylighting control.
The breakout stages followed the same visual philosophy with Diablo S, Rivale Profile, and Argo 6 FX fixtures, AX2 PixelBar uplights, a GrandMA3 Command Wing, and Luminex GigaCore networking for stable data distribution.

Together, these systems provided a unified, broadcast-friendly lighting environment suitable for keynote delivery, panel discussions, and live media coverage.

Audio Engineered for Clarity

Across all spaces, CTME designed the audio systems with one priority: clear, intelligible speech for ministers, CEOs, and international leaders.

The Main Stage used a precise d&b audiotechnik system featuring XSL8/XSL12 arrays, AL90 downfills, T10 front fills and foldback, and V-SUB reinforcement, mixed through a DiGiCo Quantum 225 Pulse with SD-Rack/Mini-Rack infrastructure and supported by a Shure Axient Digital 16-way microphone system.
The breakout stages followed the same clarity-focused approach, each equipped with compact d&b solutions, including T10 mains, E6 fills, Y-SUBs, and D12 amplification, ensuring consistent speech quality and even coverage across every stage.

CTME’s delivery stood out for its ability to integrate LED, audio, cameras, control systems, networking, and lighting into one unified workflow across four stages, mirroring the themes that define MWC25: innovation, precision, and future-focused engineering.
