Permanent collaboration: A Campingflight To Lowlands Paradise

Lowlands is one of the largest and most renowned festivals in the Netherlands. This three-day event offers a wide range of music, theater, film, comedy, literature, science and visual arts. With twelve stages and more than 250 performances, the festival attracts more than 60.000 visitors annually. CT is proud of its close collaboration with Lowlands, where together we create an immersive experience using innovative solutions and technical realizations.

LED solutions for iconic stages

Alpha stage

As the video partner, we provide LED screens at various stages. Since 1994, Alpha has been the biggest stage at Lowlands. We installed three LED screens, including a backdrop and IMAG screens (image magnification). In addition, we installed two LED screens next to the stage so that the audience on the hills also has optimal visibility and sound during the performances.

Bravo stage

This stage is known for its distinctive cathedral shape and green color. We installed screens that serve both as backdrops and for IMAG. In addition, we installed our LED sphere in the center of the domed tent, which ensured an impressive audiovisual experience at night.

X-Ray stage

This hangar has a strong reputation among EDM fans. To increase the impact of the shows, we hung small LED screens from the ceiling along the entire length of the hangar, with an additional screen behind the DJ.

More than just music

Intergalactic Planetary: A Light Show Over the Festival Grounds

In addition to music, art and entertainment play an important role in the Lowlands program. High above the festival grounds, two large towers illuminate the audience at night. These towers, part of Planet Paradise, each consist of four rings with LED strips. During the day they serve as eye-catching landmarks, while at night they become an attraction with video images and special effects.

IKEA Drömland

For IKEA’s brand activation, a gigantic bedroom was constructed at the festival site, providing visitors a place to escape the festival frenzy. In this dome, we installed 5 projectors, which displayed calming visuals to create an even more dreamy atmosphere.

Visual Crowd Information System (VCIS)

In addition to the art installations and screens on the various stages, we also developed the Visual Crowd Information System (VCIS). This system allows the festival organization to share safety-related information with visitors via six strategically placed screens on the grounds. In case of an emergency, this information can also be relayed to the IMAG screens in the four large tents.
