TwitchCon Europe 2026

From game world to live experience

TwitchCon Europe brings tens of thousands of streamers, gamers and online communities together in one place every year. In 2026, the event took place on 30 and 31 May at Rotterdam Ahoy. Creative Technology delivered video solutions for multiple zones within TwitchCon.

Minecraft: the game world as a physical experience

The absolute eye-catcher of TwitchCon Europe 2026 was the Minecraft environment. During this event, the world of Minecraft was brought to life on a large scale for the first time. Visitors literally walked through life-size game worlds, meeting creators and watching live speedrun sessions. It showed how digital communities and live events are increasingly converging.

For the different zones within the Minecraft environment, we delivered a range of solutions. We built an LED floor for an interactive biome, making visitors part of a specific Minecraft world. There was also a large arena where visitors could watch live gaming sessions on a big LED screen.

For the Minecraft environment, we delivered the following LED solutions:

  • ROE Vanish 8T transparant LED
  • ROE Black Quartz 6.2
  • ROE Sapphire 1.5
  • ROE Black Marble 4.7 LED-vloer

All content was managed via a Barco Encore3 Gen1 4K media server, distributing signals flexibly across the various LED screens.

An LED cube as a centrepiece

In the main lobby of Rotterdam Ahoy, we installed an LED cube that immediately caught the eye. Built with fine pitch panels of 2.6 mm, it displayed large dynamic visuals on all sides and was the first thing visitors encountered upon entering the venue.

Glitch Theatre: shows, sessions and livestreams

The Glitch Theatre was one of the central stages of TwitchCon Europe 2026. Creator sessions, live shows, panel discussions and interviews took place here, for a packed audience as well as an online audience via livestream.

For this stage, we built an LED backdrop using Unilumin Utille 3.9 panels. To capture all performances and presentations on camera, we provided full camera direction with manned cameras. The footage was displayed via projectors on the IMAG screens to the left and right of the stage, ensuring everyone in the room had a clear view. For content management, we used Pixera Four RS and Pixera Two Director media servers.

Panels, workshops and community spaces

Alongside the Glitch Theatre and the Minecraft environment, we supported a range of breakout rooms and community spaces used for panel discussions and workshops. For these spaces, we delivered presentation switchers, PTZ cameras with remote operation and the supporting streaming and distribution infrastructure. Each room received a tailored video workflow.

Displays: from wayfinding to security

Across the venue, we supplied numerous displays for exhibitors, wayfinding and event information. We also placed monitors at strategic points throughout the building for security and operational staff.
