At the WielerZesdaagse Rotterdam, international track cyclists competed in Ahoy in disciplines such as Madison, derny and sprint. As the video partner, we provided a combination of LED, camera production, LCD displays and network and content solutions.
Above the track, we installed a large LED display showing lap times, classifications, rider data, highlights and replays. In addition, we built a four-sided LED cube that displayed the number of laps remaining.
We provided the complete Dynamic Content Generation for the event. We created data connections between AeroPro, the KNWU jury and our own graphics system, allowing raw data — such as lap times, statistics and classifications — to be converted in realtime into visual appealing content. This content was shown on the Ziggo television broadcasts as well as on the screens inside the arena.
The lap board control was integrated into the same system, enabling the jury to operate it independently and without technical intervention from our team. In addition, we installed a fibre network for all video and data distribution, ensuring stable and error-free connections between all parts of the production.
We managed the complete live production of the event. Using seven cameras, a mix of operated and remote cameras, we captured all elements of the programme: the races, the riders, performances and award ceremonies. From the control room we switched between camera feeds and the content shown on the LED displays.
Throughout the arena we placed multiple LCD displays showing the schedule, lap times and classifications. This ensured visitors always had access to up-to-date information.
