Space aims at becoming a landmark for e-gamers from all over the world, accomodating no less than 400 gaming stations. For meetings and events, a state-of-the-art arena has been created, with room for 550 live audience. And in the co-working area, a large business space has emerged for collaboration and innovation.
Across some 8 000 sqm, distributed at several floors in one of Hötorgsskraporna at Sergels torg, Space has become the new go-to hub for individuals and companies looking to experiencing the latest gaming technology, hosting an event or conference, renting a top modern work space or simply come for a drink or coffee in any of the stylish cafeterias or bars.
Over the past several months Creative Technology has worked together with Pophouse Entertainment to install a vast amount of AV technology and systems integrations throughout the center. The installation spans from the LCD screens and media servers in the gaming section and high-end screens in the co-working area, to a massive AV installation in the event arena. The 19 x 5 m 8K curved LED screen, the L-acoustics PA system and a generous light rig create an unmatched audio-visual experience for the on-site audience. All technology is connected to a crestron system which can trigger technical functions via, for example, an iPhone. The arena is fully prepared for virtual and hybrid events with a brand new control room equipped with the latest broadcast technologies.
In the main entrance you’re brought in by a 23 meter long and 7 meter wide LED screen, mounted as an upside-down U in the ceiling. The image is further extended by a mirror at one short end and forms an enclosing framing of the entire entrance. The Samsung screen has a pixel distance of 4 mm and covers an area of approximately 5000 x 1700 pixels.
Space arena has already gained a great deal of attention as an attractive event venue, and is now booked for events spanning from night club parties and commercial shooting, to conferences and hybrid meetings.
Creative Technology is continuing its involvement in the project by serving the event productions with technical staff and project management, and has appointed a full-time Senior Technical Advisor to support the day-to-day operations in the arena.
