Attending Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is an annual highlight for Creative Technology (CT), and each year the trade show reaffirms its significance in our industry.

ISE 2024 was a truly global affair, with our teams from the USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia attending to explore the vast array of new technologies and witness the latest innovations firsthand. This gathering not only strengthened our internal bonds but also allowed us to connect with our valued partners and further solidify our commitment to collaboration and AV advancement within our Live Events and Systems Integration deliveries.

Jack Strong, CTUK’s Systems Integration Business Development Director, comments, “Over the four days, we dedicated significant time exploring brands and products that will shape our projects in the coming year, particularly in the VP/Broadcast, Experiential and Retail sectors, where many new and exciting opportunities have emerged.”

From engaging discussions with video, audio and lighting manufacturers to exploring cutting-edge technology, we were immersed in the forefront of innovation.

“The advancements in display technologies were particularly noteworthy, showcasing enhancements in resolution, size, and energy efficiency. Moreover, media playback systems continue to deliver fantastic capabilities, harnessing the processing power of the available advances in hardware, specifically the powerful GPUs. In the realm of audio, innovation was evident, with products boasting quality, reliability, and diverse options in formats, colours, and styles, and will enable future designs to offer more choices to our customers to meet their needs. Finally, the ability to connect, control and manage across all areas of AV was shown to be continuing its path. As manufacturers replace and update legacy products, the new generation of products significantly improves connectivity and management, providing greater opportunity to develop solutions with simplicity, reliability and efficiency.” Graeme Bunyan, CTUK’s Head of Integration.

Strong continues, “Some notable highlights included discovering IPMAX’s video over IP solutions, experiencing touch-free gesture control by Ameria AG, and being impressed by AUO’s transparent and micro LED technology, among others. Additionally, we were intrigued by the latest immersive engagement softwares for education that allow users to create and control captivating digital customer experiences. While the focus leaned more towards education this year, the insights gained and connections made will undoubtedly fuel potential solutions in other markets as time goes on.”

The exhibition was yet another testament to the ever-evolving landscape of technology, providing us with invaluable insights into cutting-edge innovations and emerging trends relevant to our work in Live Events and Systems Integration. Beyond the awe-inspiring showcase of advancements, it was equally rewarding to rekindle connections with our esteemed partners, fostering collaborations that drive our collective success.

CTME’s Head of Systems Integration, Huw Godfrey, reflects, “ISE not only showcases the current technology in our industry but also provides invaluable insights into its future trajectory. Reflecting on our experience, it was a year marked by more education than innovation for our team. Nonetheless, our time at ISE has equipped us with invaluable insights and connections to drive our projects forward globally. We look forward to returning next year to continue our journey of development, learning, and partnership.”

Steve Rodgers, Director of Sales for CTUS, goes on to say, Opportunities like ISE are important not only to see the technology and keep up with trends but also for connecting with clients, partners and especially the global team at Creative Technology. Our Systems Integration team has decades of experience across projects of all shapes and sizes around the world, including broadcast studios, stadium installations, museum exhibits, retail displays, immersive environments, concert hall systems and everything in between. I get excited just talking about all of the design decisions, problem-solving and technical solutions we work on every day.”

In addition to exploring the latest innovations and networking with industry partners, CT contributed to ISE’s Tech Talk programme, sharing our knowledge and expertise with our industry peers and partners.

The captivating talk hosted by CTUK’s Director of Innovation, Will Case and CTUK’s Head of Integration, Graeme Bunyan emphasised the crucial collaboration between AVL technology and creatives in show design, highlighting the key blend of language and understanding needed for elevated productions. This session was not just an opportunity for CT to showcase their insights but also a platform to foster collaboration within the industry.

To round up another successful ISE event, we are reminded once again of the invaluable role it plays in shaping the future of our industry. From the latest advancements in display technologies to groundbreaking immersive engagement software, the event provided a comprehensive overview of what lies ahead. As we return to our respective regions inspired and a little jetlagged, we look forward to leveraging these insights and connections to drive forward our projects globally, fuelling a future defined by creativity, collaboration, and continued advancement in AV and Systems Integration.
