“It is always a huge honour to work on such high-profile live events, from the 75th commemoration of VJ Day, to the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It is incredible to see not only the public’s overwhelming response but also the entire live events industry showing such high praise and support for the people behind the scenes who make all of it possible.” – Graham Miller, Head of Music/Entertainment at Creative Technology UK.
With over 10 million viewers watching the huge celebration at home, with many more worldwide and a 20,000 strong audience gathered within Windsor Castle grounds including King Charles III and the Royal Family, the Creative Technology team worked hard throughout the entire planning and delivery stages of the event to ensure a seamless and spectacular show for everyone.
Working for BBC Studios to Stufish’s stage design, a 315 sqm curved flown video screen took centre position – displaying stunning imagery and video as well as live playback of the many performances throughout the evening. For the mesmerising projection mapping that covered 4,000sqm of Windsor Castle East facade, Creative Technology utilised VYV Photon to generate the projection mapping alignment of 28 30k Panasonic projectors to technically deliver the beautiful content created by NorthHouse Creative.
Senior Project Manager, Stuart Young, has been delivering events of this caliber for over 25 years and played an integral part in providing the expertise and experience to pull together an extremely challenging brief. Stuart commented, “As ever, it is a privilege to be among those asked to deliver these iconic events. Having a superlative crew able to calmly deliver these technically demanding projects without being phased by the scale and complexity helps ensure continued client confidence.”
